Open from November 15, 2022 to May 1, 2023.
Prompt: Write a Cross-centered adventure for Tre’e, the child who is a tree.
Open to all ages.
Winners in each age category will receive a $150 cash prize and consideration for publication. Runners-up in each category will receive a $50 cash prize and consideration for publication.
Age Categories:
- Elementary school age: 500 to 2,000 word picture book
- Tweens and Teens: 15,000 to 30,000 word middle-grade chapter book
- Teens 15+ and Adults: 50,000 to 80,000 word YA or adult novel
- Email entries to editor@parkendbooks.com with, “Writing Contest” and your name in the subject line.
Entry fee: $10 payable to PayPal.me/parkendbooks or Venmo @parkendbooks
Fee waivers avaiable for cases of financial hardship.
